The study analyzed rocks in Lushan Area, western Henan Province, to understand how they formed over time. By looking at different types of rocks and how they were laid down, researchers found that the area experienced three major floods in the past. They identified 15 different rock types, which can be grouped into 6 main types and 8 subtypes. This helps us understand the environment in which these rocks were formed.
