Fully Mechanized Coal Mining Boosts Recovery Rates, Improves Stability for Miners.
This study looked at a way to get more coal out of thick, steep mines using a method called fully mechanized top coal caving. They wanted to find a balance between extracting more coal and keeping the mining area safe. By testing different methods, they found that a certain technique, where coal is caved downwards and upwards with specific distances between operations, helped improve recovery rates. This method reduced coal waste and kept the mining equipment stable. Overall, they figured out a way to recover around 82.27% of the coal efficiently.
