City development problems in Tianjin are caused by ineffective combination of land use and traffic planning. By integrating these two aspects, a planning scheme was proposed to improve urban spatial structure, enhance public transport efficiency, reduce travel time, increase land use intensity, control urban expansion, and prevent sprawl. The key to solving city development issues lies in the organic combination of land use and road traffic planning.
