Water quality models underestimate pollution levels in Geum River, Korea.
The study compared three water quality models in the Geum River to find errors in steady state modeling. BOD5 and COD were often underestimated, while TN and TP had smaller errors. QUAL2E model was best for BOD5 and TP, while QUAL2K was best for TN. Errors in modeling were likely due to flow characteristics, lack of pollutant load info, and sampling location.
