Karst slope study reveals key factors impacting soil water resources.
The study looked at how water moves through soil on a mountain slope in China. By taking samples and using math, they found that water content, soil density, and how fast water moves through the soil all vary across the slope. Water content goes up as you go higher, but soil density goes down. The speed of water movement is all over the place, with some areas being very different from others. Overall, water content is linked to soil density and water movement speed, but soil density and water movement speed don't have a strong connection.
