The economic gap between regions along the Yangtze River in Jiangsu province is widening. The focus is on achieving coordinated economic development in these regions. An evaluation system was created to assess this development, revealing issues in eight cities along the Yangtze River. Suggestions were made for improving economic development in the region through the Yangtze River economic belt construction.
