This review discusses a new way of managing marine ecosystems to address global environmental issues. The traditional methods focused more on short-term profits, whereas this new approach, called ecosystem management, aims to ensure the long-term health and sustainability of ecosystems. Seven key points about ecosystem management are highlighted, including the importance of human involvement, cooperation, and maintaining ecosystem diversity and integrity. Unlike traditional environmental management, ecosystem management uses scientific information to guide decisions and protect ecosystem health and security. The approach prioritizes the overall balance of nature, suggesting a shift towards a more holistic and sustainable way of managing marine environments.
