National forests' erosion control facilities in good condition, fulfilling functions effectively.
The study analyzed erosion control facilities in national forests from 2009 to 2011. They inspected 308 erosion control dams and 1,320 erosion control areas. Most of the facilities were in good condition, with 94.3% of erosion control areas and 96.1% of erosion control dams being well-maintained. The researchers found that these facilities were effectively preventing erosion. However, they also noted that the few facilities in poor condition need immediate repairs to continue functioning properly. The study suggests the urgent need for a management system to maintain and manage erosion control facilities in the future.
