The study looked at how different ways of adding nitrogen to the soil affect the growth and yield of maize plants. They found that using 100 kg of nitrogen per hectare along with organic manure produced the most maize. Adding legumes with a small amount of nitrogen didn't help the maize grow better. But when more nitrogen was added along with organic manure, the maize plants produced more grain.
