The article discusses natural monopolies in the Eurasian Economic Union, focusing on their concept, types, and areas of activity. It explains that natural monopolies arise where competition is not feasible or efficient, due to high entry barriers. Two main types of natural monopolies are identified: those based on unique natural resources and those driven by technical or economic factors. The article highlights both the advantages and disadvantages of natural monopolies, emphasizing their complex nature. It concludes that regulating natural monopolies in a market economy can help improve their operations in member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
