Natural Language Queries Struggle to Replace Structured Database Searches
In a company setting, natural language was tested against a structured query language to see which one works better for database searches. Both were used at the same time by different groups. The natural language users initially liked it but later switched to the structured query tool. The study aimed to introduce natural language for real-world problem-solving but not for scientific research. Finding showed that natural language started strong but users preferred structured query language in the end.
