Internet access revolutionizes daily life for nine out of ten Norwegian physicians.
Nine out of ten Norwegian physicians now have access to the Internet, with most finding it useful for staying updated professionally. The number of physicians with Internet access has increased significantly since 1997, especially from home. General practitioners mainly access the Internet from home. Those with access both at home and work use it more for professional purposes and find it more useful. While email communication between doctors and patients is not common, there is potential for improved doctor-patient communication online.
