Hand weeding boosts wheat yield and profits, revolutionizing farming economics.
The researchers studied different ways to control weeds in wheat fields to improve crop yield and economic outcomes. They found that hand weeding at 30 days after sowing resulted in the highest wheat yield and quality, followed by using a specific herbicide treatment. These weed control methods also reduced weed growth compared to untreated fields. The herbicide treatment with Pyroxasulfone + Pendimethalin 50 + 910 g/ha showed the best economic performance with a high benefit-cost ratio and net income per hectare.
