The scientists conducted experiments on a glass facade in a lab in Southern China to see how it behaves in a fire. They studied a three-story glass facade with double glazing next to a fire. They removed a glass pane and set up a fire next to it, causing flames to spread to the glazing. They measured the air temperature outside the glazing above the fire chamber.
