Passive sampling method revolutionizes air pollution monitoring, empowering communities to breathe cleaner air.
In the study, scientists looked at how much sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide (common air pollutants) were in the air using a simple detection method. They tested a passive sampler that absorbed these pollutants and then analyzed them with a special light method. Results showed that this passive method worked just as well as active ways of sampling. Also, they found that the filter paper used in the process could absorb these pollutants effectively.
