The article looked at how different soil classification systems in China relate to each other for a specific type of soil called GSCC-Semi-Luvisols. They used a computerized system to compare and match soil names between the systems. The study found that GSCC-Semi-Luvisols can be classified into different orders and groups within the Chinese Soil Taxonomy, with specific subgroups identified for each type of soil. Overall, the research showed that GSCC-Semi-Luvisols cover a total area of 427,843.1 km2 and can be further categorized into specific soil types based on their characteristics.
