Dye compounds in Qinghe sediments show increased adsorption with rising temperatures.
The study looked at how different dyes stick to sediment in Qinghe. They tested how pH, ion strength, and temperature affect this sticking process. They found that pH and ion strength are the main factors that affect how well the dyes stick. The higher the temperature, the more the dyes stick. The dyes stuck to the sediment in a certain way called Freundlich adsorption. The sticking process happened in two steps: fast sticking in less than 1 hour, and slow sticking in more than 12 hours.
