Limited Awareness of Nigerian Health Research Ethics Code Among Biomedical Researchers
The study looked at how well biomedical researchers in southern Nigeria know about the National Code of Health Research Ethics. Only 30% of researchers were aware of the code, even though 64% had attended ethics training. Only 25% had a good understanding of the code, and 10% had excellent knowledge. Almost all researchers agreed that knowing the code is important for ethical research. The study suggests that more training and seminars are needed to improve awareness and knowledge of the code among researchers in Nigeria.
