Different tillage methods were tested in a tea garden to see how they affected soil and tea yield. Deep tillage was found to be the best method, reducing soil compaction and increasing water storage. It also improved tea leaf transpiration rate, shoot density, and water use efficiency, leading to a 17.6% increase in tea yield compared to no tillage.
