The review discusses how risk assessment has evolved in the chemical process industry over the years. While Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) has been a key tool, it has limitations in updating risk information. Recent dynamic risk assessment approaches have been developed to address this issue. These new methods aim to improve the accuracy and real-time updating of risk assessments, supporting better decision-making in process design, safety systems, and operation management.
