Mapping Soil Salinity to Restore Ecosystems in Yellow River Delta
Soil salinity in the Yellow River Delta was mapped using a portable device and geostatistical analysis. The topsoil had the highest salinity, indicating salt accumulation at the surface. Salinity decreased with distance from the coastline, with higher values in the north and east. Models using electrical conductivity accurately estimated salinity in different soil layers. The findings provide valuable information for eco-restoration efforts in the Yellow River Delta.
