Nonparametric regression techniques have been underused in analyzing survey data, but recent research has developed new methods to address this gap. The main goal was to adapt and expand nonparametric regression techniques for complex survey data. A new graphical tool called the shift function plot was also introduced to test the fit of parametric regression models. The researchers successfully developed a partial linear semiparametric regression model for complex surveys, combining nonparametric and parametric approaches to improve estimation accuracy. The findings provide valuable insights for improving regression analysis in survey data by addressing key issues and developing new tools for hypothesis testing.
