This research aimed to model and simulate an Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) power plant, a clean energy option, using various modules like gasifiers and turbines. They also looked at adding a carbon capture process using activated carbon. A simple gasification model was validated and used to study syngas content changes. A more complex model showed how different inputs affect gasifier operation. They also simulated other plant modules like acid gas removal and power generation to see how they responded to changing conditions. The study found that adjusting oxygen levels had a bigger impact on gasifier performance than steam levels. The results help understand how to optimize energy production while capturing carbon emissions.
