Planting Tulip Bulbs Deeper in Sandy Soil Boosts Growth and Flowering
This study looked at how the type of soil and how deep tulip bulbs are planted affect the growth of the plant. They tested different types of soil and found that sandy loam soil was better for tulip shoot and bulb growth compared to clay loam soil. They also discovered that planting tulip bulbs 8 cm deep in sandy loam soil resulted in the best growth. Overall, tulips grew better in sandy loam soil and at a specific planting depth.
