Optimal Phosphorus and Sulphur Levels Boost Tomato Yield in Calcareous Soil
Tomatoes grown in calcareous soil need phosphorus and sulfur to grow well. A study tested different levels of these nutrients to see how they affect tomato growth and yield. They found that applying 250 kg of phosphorus and 2.5% sulfur per hectare resulted in the highest tomato yield of 42.30 tons per hectare. This combination led to more fruits per plant, bigger fruits, and better overall yield compared to other levels tested. So, adding the right amount of phosphorus and sulfur can help tomatoes grow better in calcareous soil.
