Businesses use BPM to understand and improve their processes. They create process maps to show how different processes are connected. But there's no standard way to design these maps, leading to a lot of different designs. This study developed a language for designing process maps to make them more consistent and easier to understand. The researchers also created a framework to help businesses with BPM.
