Phosphorus sources and planting density affect maize growth. DAP and SSP fertilizers lead to better growth and yield compared to NP and no P. Higher planting density decreases growth rate but increases leaf area and expansion. Maize grown at D3 density with SSP or DAP is most beneficial in the wheat-maize system.
