Artificial forest diversity boosts stability in fragile ecological areas.
The study looked at different plants in a man-made forest near an oasis in China. They wanted to see how diverse the plants were and how they were distributed. After four years, they found that more plant species had joined the forest, making it more diverse. There were 26 different plant species in total, including trees, shrubs, and grasses. Some plant communities had higher diversity and evenness than others. This information can help improve the forest and make it more stable in the future.
