The article investigates the health of urban ecosystems. It introduces a fresh method to measure the overall health of cities using a complex ecosystem approach. By applying this method to Foshan City in Guangdong Province, the study found that the assessment accurately reflects the city's health status and can pinpoint the health levels of different parts of the city. This new model provides a comprehensive tool for understanding how urban areas function in ecological terms.
