Constructed wetlands can get clogged over time, affecting how well they clean wastewater. Researchers studied three wetlands in Italy to see how clogging affected their performance. They found that the oldest wetland had lower water flow and more solid build-up compared to newer ones. Despite this, all wetlands still cleaned the water effectively.
