Bonobo habitat study reveals key plant species for forest conservation.
The researchers studied different types of vegetation in a forest-savanna area in Congo to understand the plant life there. They found 146 tree species, 50 lianas, and 42 herbaceous plants. They identified eight different types of vegetation and learned about their structures and plant diversity. They also discovered the important role of a specific plant in the area's plant growth and how human activities affect the different vegetation types.
