Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a way to connect software resources on a network for businesses. To build an SOA, the first step is to identify the services needed. A new method was developed by analyzing processes and systems, selecting service options, and evaluating and planning for construction. This method was tested in a real IT company and found to be practical for other organizations.
