Gait analysis is a helpful tool for understanding how people walk. It can diagnose gait problems that are hard to see in a regular check-up. By studying how people walk, doctors can better treat patients with conditions like cerebral palsy. In Norway, a gait lab was set up in 2002 to help children with gait issues. This lab changed how doctors approach surgery for these patients. Now, they do surgeries on multiple parts of the legs at once, instead of just one. After three years of using gait analysis, it's recommended for all kids with walking problems, especially before and after surgery.
