A study was done to see how mixing different types of waste affects the evaporation process. They mixed Tank AN-107 waste with recycled material and evaporated it. Then they concentrated the recycled material and mixed it with the waste. This was the first study to look at how recycling waste affects evaporation with real radioactive waste.
