AI-Powered Video Analysis Revolutionizes Object Detection, Boosting Surveillance Capabilities
In this research, a computer system was designed to classify objects in videos like how our brains do it. They tested this system and found it can recognize objects very accurately. However, running these tests on a regular computer can take a long time. To solve this, the researchers used OpenCL to speed up the system. They discovered that using OpenCL made calculations much faster, especially for specific setups. One important result was achieving a high F1 score of 0.95 for certain settings. With the right hardware setup, the system could be accelerated 6.5 times faster including data transfer time. This study shows how using OpenCL can significantly speed up object classification tasks in videos.
