In the world, most energy comes from burning stuff that makes a lot of carbon dioxide, which is bad for our planet. Scientists came up with ways to trap this carbon dioxide before it messes up the air and store it deep underground. This method is called Carbon Capture and Storage. If we really try, we can create electricity without adding more carbon dioxide to the air. This could happen in the next 10 years if people really want it to. If we want to cut down on carbon dioxide from cars, we need to switch to electric cars. We can still make electricity from burning fuels, but we just need to capture the carbon dioxide it makes before it goes into the air.
