New Method Predicts Soil Texture Using Field Moisture Observations!
Researchers used field soil moisture observations to predict soil texture in an oasis agricultural area with low relief. By analyzing changes in soil moisture over time, they identified patterns related to clay, silt, and sand content. The method accurately mapped soil texture, showing that soil moisture increased with clay and silt, but decreased with sand. This approach could be useful for mapping soil texture in similar irrigation agricultural areas.
