Constructed wetlands in Lahore achieve 90% wastewater treatment efficiency
A study in Lahore looked at using constructed wetlands to treat wastewater. They used a plant called Reed in a small wetland setup. After 5 days, the system removed 90% of solid particles, 75% of organic matter, and 80% of chemical pollutants. The treated water met Pakistan's standards. This shows that constructed wetlands could be a good, low-cost option for cleaning up Lahore's wastewater.
