The article discusses factors for successful implementation of ERP systems in multinational projects. Surveys in Germany, the US, and Turkey were conducted to understand the process and success factors. Despite potential benefits, many German companies using SAP do not fully utilize its optimization capabilities. Common ERP lifecycle models were evaluated for implementing standard software effectively. A semi-process-oriented lifecycle model for ERP system implementation and release changeover was developed based on practical experience and evaluated in real-world projects.
