The researchers studied bird species diversity at Uchali Wetland in Pakistan. They found that the wetland supports 47 bird species, with a total of 25,361 birds. The number of species has decreased compared to the past. The evenness of bird species varied annually, with an overall functional abundance of species. By using a modified rank-abundance curve, the researchers suggest that bird species diversity measurement can be improved to show the true abundance of bird species at the wetland.
