Multinational Corporations Operate Regionally, Not Globally, Challenging Globalization Narrative
The study shows that most big international companies mainly focus on selling products within their home region or the triad of EU, North America, and Japan, rather than globally. They found that only six out of twenty top multinational enterprises actually operate across the triad, while the rest are more regionally or home-triad oriented. This means that even the largest multinational companies tend to stick to their home bases when it comes to decision-making and product sales.
