Deciduous tree's photosynthesis linked to climate change, impacting ecosystem balance.
The study looked at how a deciduous tree called Berchemia zeyheri uses sunlight and water to grow. They found that the tree's photosynthesis and water loss rates change throughout the day and season, mostly influenced by sunlight and wind. The tree does best at photosynthesis and water loss in the morning, around 10 am. High leaf temperatures help the tree lose water, but too hot air can slow down its growth. So, the tree's growth depends on the right balance of sunlight, water, and temperature.
