Thinner, Cheaper, and More Efficient Homes with Reflective Insulation
The researchers wanted to find a cheaper and more effective way to insulate wooden structures by using a special material called reflective thermal insulation. They tested this material to see how well it could keep heat in, and also figured out the best place to put it in the wooden structure. They discovered that the reflective insulation does a good job of keeping heat inside and identified where it works best in wooden buildings: it works great in a specific spot. Overall, this study shows a promising way to make wooden structures warmer and more affordable.
