The study looked at how two herbicides, atrazine and pendimethalin, affect the growth of velvetleaf plants in corn fields. They found that using these herbicides at higher doses greatly reduced velvetleaf growth and seed production, preventing them from harming the corn crop. Even at lower doses, the herbicides still had a significant impact on velvetleaf competitiveness. This shows that atrazine and pendimethalin can help farmers control velvetleaf and protect their corn yields.
