New herbicide combo boosts black gram yield while reducing weed growth!
A study was done to see how different weed control methods affect the growth of weeds and the yield of black gram plants. Herbicides were used to control the weeds, and the best results were seen with Pendimethalin 900 g ha-1 applied before planting, along with one round of hand weeding. This combination led to the lowest weed weight and the highest black gram yield. Hand weeding at 20 and 40 days after planting also showed good results. Overall, using Pendimethalin before planting, along with one hand weeding, or using Imazethapy + Pendimethalin before planting, were both effective weed control methods for growing black gram.
