The scientists measured the density and viscosity of four different solutions used in absorption heat pumps. They used special equipment to do this at normal pressure and temperatures between 50°C and 130°C. The solutions were made of different combinations of lithium nitrate, potassium nitrate, sodium nitrate, and sodium nitrite. The researchers found that their measurements matched well with mathematical predictions.
