Decentralized supply chains hinder low-carbon tech adoption in agriculture.
The article looks at how using eco-friendly technology in the agricultural supply chain affects decision-making. They studied a chain with a producer and processor, and found that having eco-tech leads to more orders and profits in a centralized system. In a decentralized system, profits and orders are lower, and the eco-tech level is also lower. To make the decentralized system work better, they came up with a coordination plan. They did many experiments to see how the supply chain members behaved.
