Distributed Databases Sync Seamlessly, Transforming Enterprise Data Integration
This study focuses on making different databases work together better by updating the changes in their data efficiently. The researchers came up with a new method that combines triggers and log tables to keep track of data changes. They then designed a way for these databases, spread out in different places, to talk to each other using a central hub and web services. By doing this, they made sure that all the databases stay in sync by sending only the new or changed information back and forth. They built a prototype system to test this idea and found that it worked well in practice, proving that their approach makes sense and can be useful for businesses with multiple databases that need to share data.
