Local people in Cameroon are not well-informed about community forestry, hindering their participation. The focus is on influential actors rather than social justice, leading to marginalization of local community members. Participatory policies often do not benefit the less privileged as intended. There is a need for better mechanisms to ensure successful implementation and follow-up.
