Surface water around Dhaka Export Processing Zone is polluted, affecting the aquatic environment. Water samples were collected and tested for various parameters. Results showed high levels of pollutants exceeding recommended limits, decreasing with distance from the outlet. BOD and COD levels were strongly correlated, both negatively impacting dissolved oxygen. The aquatic environment is highly contaminated by pollutants from DEPZ, posing a threat to the ecosystem.
